Position: Business Analyst, RTP
Reports To: VP, RTP Rules Enforcement
Location: New York, NY

Position Summary:

Business Analysts in the Real-Time Payments Product Development and Management department provide data retrieval, analysis and reporting (regular and ad-hoc) to support decision-making, product development and strategy development responsibilities for the Real-Time Payments network.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to business, economics or involving quantitative analysis
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in analytics position; banking background preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and statistical skills
  • Ability to recognize trends and provide relevant solutions
  • Charting and modeling experience to augment presentation of analytical options
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience with payment products, operations and technology       
  • Experience documenting product requirements/specifications and operational processes
  • Experience in pricing analysis/ modeling and revenue forecasting database experience desired

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop/update reports for decision support and management reporting
  • Research to support business concept assessment and analysis
  • Analyze data and report results to meet specific needs
  • Volume and revenue forecasting
  • Additional product and pricing analysis and reporting as needed
  • Timely and accurate completion of deliverables
  • Adherence to management instruction and performance expectations including key disciplines:
    • Validation of analysis results
    • Obtaining confirmation/clarity around reporting and analysis request
    • Responsive and focused on customer satisfaction
  • Supportive of team initiatives and decision-making process, including contributing to concept development and solution design

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available
