Director, Vendor Risk Management

Position: Director, Vendor Risk Management
Reports To: VP of Risk Assurance and Vendor Risk Mgmt
Location: New York, NY, Dallas TX, or Winston-Salem, NC

Position Summary:

The Director of Vendor Risk Management ensures that risks associated with the engagement of vendors by TCH are appropriately identified, assessed, monitored and managed in accordance with Enterprise Risk Management Framework requirements. Additionally, the role serves as a primary contact for TCH customers regarding helping meet their institution’s vendor due diligence obligations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, management information systems or related area
  • 7-10 years of vendor risk management, enterprise risk management or audit related experience
  • Proven track record for managing and enhancing control processes
  • Ability to work independently and present recommendations and solutions to business issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Operational and Information Security risk

Qualifications Desired:

  • Related experience in the Banking/Finance industry
  • MBA in Business or other related area

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the vendor risk management function
  • Perform and oversee risk assessment and monitoring activities related to TCH vendor engagements
  • Manage TCH customer vendor due diligence activities where TCH is the vendor, including cadenced customer onsite/remote due diligence sessions
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve effectiveness and increase efficiency of the vendor risk management process
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, IS, Finance, business units and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure companywide compliance with related policies and procedures

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required
