About Image Exchange

The Clearing House Image Exchange Network is an industry utility that allows financial institutions of all sizes to exchange check images in the most efficient and cost effective way.

Our peer-to-peer network allows participants to create and send image cash letters to their exchanges partners directly. Financial institutions can access the network via either Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) over the internet or dedicated telecom (Multiprotocol Label Switching) MPLS lines.

How it works

Image Exchange Related Services

  • Online Adjustments
Automates the adjustment process and integrates with most case management systems. It's a secure, paperless, web-based application available to any financial institution with Internet access.
  • Automated Settlement
Automated settlement cuts the risk of systems failure by eliminating the handoffs between image exchange operators and their third-party settlement providers. Financial institutions can see their net debit or credit position online and view their position with all participating institutions at any time. There are no bilateral agreements. All institution exchanging and settling images operate under a single set of rules.
