Reports To: Chief Architect
Location: New York, NY

Position Summary:

The Enterprise Architect Lead (EA Governance) is a key member of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team and is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the EA governance processes and standards. The primary role of this position is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. The Enterprise Architect Lead works as a team member supporting the enterprise with technology governance solutions which help to reduce risk and improve the efficiency and consistency regarding the adoption of technology related processes and standards. This position requires a strong EA governance and process skill set.

Qualifications Required:

  • 5+ years of experience architecting/designing/developing solutions for the financial industry sector with the last 2+ years in an EA role focused on technology governance
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining technology related processes and standards
  • Solid experience with architectural patterns and developing reference architectures
  • Experience working within a Systems Development Life Cycle (Waterfall/Agile) managed environment
  • Experience performing technical presentations for diverse audiences and facilitating technical discussions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field 
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Analytical mindset and ability to grasp complex topics

Qualifications Desired:

  • Solid understanding of an industry standard EA framework (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity/experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support Architecture Review Board and Technology Working Group governance processes
  • Develop and maintain technical reference architectures and patterns
  • Perform technical solution reviews to determine compliance with EA standards
  • Develop, publish, and maintain EA standards and processes
  • Maintain the repository for all EA documentation artifacts
  • Track and assist with mitigation of EA risk findings
  • Facilitate training regarding EA processes and standards

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
