Position: Human Resources Manager
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Location: New York, NY

Position Summary:

At TCH, our HR Department leads the delivery of all HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding performance. The HR Department partners closely with business leaders to drive the TCH Talent Agenda, consult on critical talent decisions and achieve operational excellence for the business. We serve as trusted advisors on all HR issues and as partners to the business in hiring, terminating, administering of benefits and Company-wide Bonus/IPP increases, developing and retaining the best talent in the industry.

We currently have an opening in our downtown New York office for a Human Resources Manager. This role will focus on benefits administration and HRIS database management.

Qualifications Required:

  • 7 + years HR experience, preferably in the financial services, asset management, or investment banking industry
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience serving in a consultative capacity to senior business leaders, shaping organizational strategy, goals and alignment
  • Experience working across cultures and in a matrixed environment strongly preferred
  • Experience working across the various HR disciplines including, Company benefits, Employee leave(s), HRIS management and reporting
  • Knowledge of managing employee benefits such as medical, dental, 401k, COBRA
  • Knowledgeable of employee leaves such as STD, LTD, Worker’s Compensation
  • Ability to execute firm-wide initiatives with excellence in a fast paced, corporate environment; commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated expertise building consensus on a cross-functional basis
  • Familiar with HR reporting with experience analyzing and presenting findings and reports back to the business as well as tracking and disseminating key HR data
  • Experience managing a variety of employee relations issues across locations
  • BA/BS degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications required; proficiency with HR systems including ADP

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Company Benefits and keep abreast of regulatory changes pertaining to specific plans, including but not limited to:  Employee Leaves (STD, LTD, WC), COBRA, Pension Plans, Life Insurance, etc.
  • Act as the primary interface with employees/management for issues and inquiries related to all benefit offerings
  • Lead annual open enrollment efforts for the organization
  • Serve as primary point of contact with vendors and third-party administrators
  • Analyze current benefit offerings, enrollment, and use
  • Research and implement new benefit offerings to ensure competitive benefits package in line with industry standards
  • Provide training and support to junior HR staff on all benefit matters
  • Complete monthly benefit reconciliations for all benefit plans
  • Manage HRIS Database
  • Prepare monthly and weekly reports on HR
  • Oversee coordination of billing with Finance department to ensure all invoices are remitted in a timely manner
  • Maintain all standard operation procedure documents related to benefit processes
  • Create and provide monthly, weekly and on-demand reports and data management/tracking of key HR metrics
  • Analyze and present relevant reports back to the business
  • Develop HR presentations on key HR data or HR-related materials
  • Audit HRIS database to ensure accurate employment records and data integrity
  • Responsible for all benefit compliance reporting and filing including but not limited to 5500, Summary Annual Report, EEO 1 Report
  • Complete other deliverables and ad hoc projects as designated by senior management

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required.
