RTP Message Specifications
The RTP Message Specifications define the structure and content of each message type that is supported within the RTP Network. Each document contains introductory information regarding the message type(s) included in the document, a definition of message structure, and detailed descriptions of each field within the subject RTP message(s).

Business Application Header
This document describes the Business Application Header (BAH) used within all RTP messages. The Business Application Header facilitates the easy exchange of messages between network endpoints and the central RTP System.

This document describes the RTP Credit Transfer (pacs.008) message, the only RTP message that results in settlement of funds between financial institutions.

Message Status Report
This document describes the Message Status Report (pacs.002) which is used to provide an immediate response and status for each RTP message. It also contains the list of acceptable reason codes that could be contained within a reject message.

Request for Payment
This document describes the Request for Payment (pain.013) and Response to Request for Payment (pain.014) messages, which are used to request funds from an account holder and provide a negative response, if necessary.

This document describes the Request for Information (camt.026) and Response to Request for Information (camt.028) messages, used when the receiver of a payment needs more information in order to understand the purpose of the payment.
