Position: Business Analyst, Business Analytics
Reports To: VP, Business Analytics
Location: New York, NY or Winston-Salem, NC

Position Summary:

Business Analysts in the Business Analytics Product Development and Management unit provide data retrieval, monitoring, analysis, reporting and presenting to support product and strategy decision-making.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in analytics position; banking background preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interviewing capabilities
  • Strong mathematical, analytic and statistical skills
  • Charting and modeling experience to augment presentation of analytical options
  • Ability to recognize trends, evaluate options and identify, validate, and apply relevant solutions

Qualifications Desired:

  • Degree related to business, economics or involving quantitative analysis
  • Experience in analyzing product, volume, revenue, customer, market analysis and/or modeling
  • Database analysis tools experience (Tableau experience helpful)
  • Salesforce experience helpful

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report ongoing product and customer data and results
  • Analyze data for trends in payment activity
  • Develop/update/present analysis and reports for decision support and management reporting
  • Forecast volumes, revenue, and market share
  • Support Product team initiatives, including database and reporting tool evolution
  • Develop new reporting and capabilities via database analysis and reporting tools

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
