Cybersecurity

The cyber threat environment is constantly evolving, and banking organizations need the flexibility, resources and information to respond nimbly to those changes. The past several years have seen a proliferation of cybersecurity standards applicable to the financial services sector, not only at the federal level but increasingly at the state level as well. TCH believes that a public-private sector partnership is critical to success in protecting the financial system from cyber threats and, accordingly, promotes enhanced information sharing between the public and private sectors. This approach includes methods for the government to promptly share both cyber threat information and defensive information and expertise with the private sector. Additionally, TCH believe that it is critical for the financial regulatory agencies to coordinate, consolidate and streamline existing regulations and guidance so that banks can appropriately devote resources to improved cybersecurity practices.
