Foreign Banking Organizations in the U.S.

This issue of Banking Perspectives examines the role foreign banking organizations play in the U.S. and global economy. The theme of whether the global financial system will continue to support global economic growth or whether we are entering a period of retrenchment continues to be discussed among policymakers. The emerging regulatory architecture appears to be moving away from a financial system that would support continued globalization.
