Q.) Is Christmas Eve an ACH processing day? Didn’t the president declare it a Federal Holiday last year?
A.)
Both Christmas Eve (December 24, 2021) and New Years Eve (December 31, 2021) are ACH processing days. A complete list of Federal Reserve Bank Holidays can be found by clicking on the link below. The Clearing House, as an ACH Operator, follows this schedule as well.

Christmas Eve is not a regularly scheduled holiday. While the President has the authority to grant leave it is usually announced just before the Christmas holiday and meant to give government employees a day off, if their positions allow.
