When is it appropriate for an Originator, Third-Party Sender or ODFI to initiate an ACH Reversal? When is it OK for an RDFI to return a Reversal? June 2021 revisions to the Nacha Operating Rules address the improper use of Reversals, establish additional formatting requirements and provide direction to RDFIs for returning improper reversals.
