Connection Options

Our Image Payments Network is an industry utility, which means everyone can get connected, no matter how big or small the institution is. The option you choose depends on your preferences and volumes. You won’t have to worry about paying for over capacity if you are ramping up because the Image Payments Network was designed with scalability. Contact us for more information.

  • Gateway Distributed Traffic Agent (DTA)–Our Internet-accessible, shared-access Gateway DTA lets you get on our network with very low start-up costs, and significantly reduced implementation time. Designed for institutions that process fewer than 250,000 check images daily, it’s also an excellent way to begin image exchange or to supplement your existing exchange channel. We utilize the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), a secure, low-cost, Internet-based connection that makes exchanging images easy.

  • Correspondent Bank–For financial institutions just getting started with image exchange or that prefer the convenience of using their Correspondent Bank connection, several correspondent bank options are available.

  • Federal Reserve Bank–The Clearing House’s Image Payments Network Federal Reserve Bank connection gives you access to endpoints everywhere in the U.S.

  • Third Party Processors–Third parties are linked to our Image Payments Network. They aggregate your image volume with other clients for a cost-effective solution.

  • Standard Distributed Traffic Agent (DTA)–Connect directly through our Distributed Traffic Agent (DTA) owned by your financial institution and maintained by The Clearing House. This is an excellent choice for financial institutions that want direct control and/or have large volumes.
