BNY Mellon is among leading U.S. financial institutions entering the era of real time payments in the U.S. with its announcement that the company intends to participate in the Real-Time Payment (RTP) system being developed by The Clearing House.

The Clearing House and FIS Submit Joint Proposal to Fed's Faster Payments Task Force

TCH proposal will fulfill Task Force vision for the future of payments

The Clearing House (TCH), in conjunction with FIS, late last Friday submitted a proposal for evaluation of its Real-Time Payments (RTP) system to the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force.  The Clearing House is working to deliver a ubiquitous, real-time payments system for the U.S. and FIS will help achieve ubiquity by offering enhanced RTP services to more than 3,000 financial institutions.

JHA Payment Solutions brings network of 7,600 banks, credit unions to TCH’s real-time payments initiative

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry. Its JHA Payment Solutions™ group today announced a partnership with The Clearing House (TCH) to expand the scope of U.S. financial institutions equipped to send and receive new real-time transactions. The Clearing House is currently working to build a new real-time payment system, which TCH will own and operate.  In partnering with JHA, TCH will greatly expand the new system’s reach and advance the goal of real-time payment ubiquity – a desired outcome the Federal Reserve has identified for an enhanced U.S. payments system.

VocaLink and The Clearing House sign a groundbreaking deal to deliver national real-time payment services in the U.S.

VocaLink, the UK-based international payment systems provider, has signed a contract with The Clearing House (TCH) to develop a national real-time payment service in the U.S. In October, the two companies announced they had signed a letter of intent, and today’s contract signing finalizes the partnership and clears the way for work to build the system to begin immediately.
